Miss KHHS Talent

Hey guys! Glad to be blogging again!!! My college is FINALLY on spring break and it couldn't have come soon enough! Too bad my high school is still in session :/ Oh well, I'll take what I can get ;)

Last Saturday I faced one of my biggest fears...singing in front of people at school. Not only that, but singing a broadway song. Now, we have already established that I am a complete broadway freak, but not a whole people at school know that. So to get the confidence to get on stage and play a character took a lot!!! Pretty much the only thing I did the entire day leading up to it was pray, drink water, fix my makeup, and repeat ;) I am so thankful to serve a God who is always providing and gives me overwhelming peace. What I thought would be the most nerve wracking performance of my life turned out to be the easiest one I have ever done. I give it all to God 100%...I couldn't have done it on my own in any way!!!

  So the way it works for my school is that the competition for Miss KHHS takes two days, but they are a week apart. The first Saturday is the Talent Competition, the next Saturday is pretty much everything else! As I said above I decided to do a song from a broadway musical, and I chose my favorite one..."On My Own" from Les Miserables! I got to dress up in character as Eponine and I had so much fun!!! It makes me want to go on broadway someday...which might be hard to do if I'm an occupational therapist. ;)
